The Black Horse pub nestling in the lovely Chiltern Hills located on the Aylesbury Road at Mobwell; Near Great Missenden. The Black Horse has a friendly atmosphere offering real ales, keg beers, larger and a range of bottled beers. A great value for money Bar Snacks and Restaurant Style Meals plus great "Meal Deals" Monday's to Thursdays 5pm to 9pm. This includes two delicious main courses for two people at only £9.95, alternatively 2 courses for one person at £5.95.

We have an interesting menu consisting of Bar Snacks, Restaurant Meals and daily specials shown on our chalkboards.

If you’re busy at lunchtime phone ahead with your order, we will have pleasure preparing your meal ready for the time you require so you can be relaxed in comfort and enjoy your meal/s.

The Black Horse at Mobwell, by the source of the River Misbourne right opposite the pub. The source is in the form of a Spring which in wet weather forms a pond as seen in the picture above. This was taken in Spring 2010 after the very wet Winter.

The Black Horse can cater for all types of events including Weddings, Christenings, Birthdays, Afternoon Tea Parties, Anniversary's, Funeral Receptions, Corporate Functions or anything else you may require. The Black Horse holds a variety of great charity events throughout the year, frequent Live Music Evenings, Disco's and Karaoke. The uniqueness of the Black Horse is that this is the only Hot Air Ballooning Pub in Buckinghamshire with Balloon flights over Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire direct from the pub grounds supplied by The European Balloon Company "Humbug".
